Jim Baird, MSPT, MBA

Jim Baird, a native of Kansas City, Missouri graduated from the University of Kansas in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He later received a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Wichita State University in 1995.

Jim’s extensive background in physical therapy includes working as supervising therapist in two privately owned clinics between 1995 and 1998. In 1998, Jim was recruited by Rehab Care Group, Inc. to develop and open a hospital based Outpatient Physical Therapy clinic in Gadsden, Alabama specializing in manual therapy, orthopedic rehabilitation and industrial based physical therapy. In 2001, Jim was awarded “The National Director of the Year” by Rehab Care Group for outstanding fiscal and quality performance.

While serving as the Director, Jim also received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Jacksonville State University in 2002. In 2003 he was hired as Chief Executive Officer of Select Specialty Hospital- Birmingham, a 38 bed hospital, specializing in Long Term Acute Care.

In 2004, Jim founded Theraplus and opened its first program at Riverview Regional Medical Center, staffing and managing the hospitals Inpatient Acute Care program and Outpatient Physical Therapy program. Jim received his Assisted Living Administrator’s license in 2007.
